This was an amazing week. I finally finished the scales and they are amazing. I'm going to prime it over the weekend and cut out more teeth. The eyes are ruined though so I'm going to pop them out and put in some new ones. So they will be nice and shiny. I might be adding some texture to the tongue but I haven't decided yet. I'm still unsure of the color of my raptor I could do brown or gray. I also need to put more feathers on because a bunch has fallen off.

Nothing happened this week. Just added more scales to the left side of the head. Almost finished with the scales. After that is done then I'll add some more feathers because some of them have fallen off. I also need to add the teeth. But I keep forgetting to bring the teeth in so that sucks, but I'll put them in after the scales are finished probably.
Scales, lots and lots of scales. The top of his head is finished now. It was harder to do the top because the right side was weighed down so much so it kept on toppling over. But it is done now I've started putting the larger scales on the left side. It's almost finished and I am having a blast building it. It has taken longer than I thought but I still think I'll finish in time. After the one side is done I just need to paint it and replace some feathers. It's going to look amazing.
Another uneventful week, just adding more scales. The one side of the head is done. But I'm out of Milliput, so I'm getting some more over the weekend. When I was putting the scales on around the eye it smudged the eye and now it's murky, I'll see if I can clean it. I'll probably replace the ball anyway. I've started to cut out more teeth at home, I just need to bring it in and start putting them in.
Its been a nice week nothing bad happened. I've just been adding more and more scales. the process is very tedious but I think it's turning out well. One side of his head is almost complete and I cant wait to start painting. I'm almost out of Milliput I'll need to get some more. I'll probably stay with the silver Milliput because I'm more used to it now. unlike the yellow Milliput.
This was a pretty good week I took my piece home to work on it over the weekend. That was a huge mistake it was one of the windiest days ever and it blew a bunch of feathers off my piece. I managed to chase down three of them but I still need to attach more. On a more positive note, I started to put scales all around the feathers on the top jaw and it looks really good. I cant wait to see it finished. I also put a tooth in as an experiment just to see how it fits. I've also started experimenting with some noises for it to make as well. Hopefully, the sound turns out well.
It was a productive week I finished the bottom jaw and started to cut out some teeth for it the scales look pretty cool. The feathers are also finished. It's hard trying to cover the feathers with the epoxy putty it rips and tears while I try to sculpt it after it dries to it stay well. I decided to add an orange feather stripe down the middle of the neck it looks cool in my opinion. The jaw is getting heavy I'm worried that the wire will snap while operating, I might need to double up on the wire. I added some latex on top of the webbing between the jaws it looks good. I've just started to work on the top jaw and I can't wait for the sculpting to be finished.
Another really awesome week I took my pice over the long weekend and finished the whole lower jaw I ran out of milliput though so I had to use a new white one it doesn't really matter because I am just going to paint over it anyway. I also started to add some brown feathers on the base of the neck it looks pretty good. I got two kinds of feathers the orange ones run along the middle of the neck to make a stripe it looks pretty cool in my opinion. I also found some good teeth instead of using the floral foam I'm using some plastic teeth I cut off a Halloween decoration and I'm going to shape it into my dinosaur teeth
This week I started to add scales to my piece and feathers. I finished one half of the lower jaw over the week and half of the white feathers as well. I realized after putting some feathers on that I had a way too many white feathers and that I was going to need to return them. I also ran out of yellow Milliput epoxy putty. The store didn’t have anymore so I switched to grey epoxy putty also Milliput and I hope it is the same to work with.
This was a somewhat productive week I created a skin sample to test the materials I was using and I also started to create some teeth at home. The teeth have proven challenging because I need them to be strong enough that they won’t break when the puppet is moving. But they need to be light enough that it doesn’t rip out the rings inside the piece. I’ve also added the neck portion to my piece along with a tongue.
